UNIVERSAL APPLIANCE AND KITCHEN CENTER AND BEL AIR, CA

Bel Air is a neighborhood found on the Westside of Los Angeles, set in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains. With its location approximately 12 miles of Downtown LA, Bel Air lies across Sunset Boulevard and is near the main University of California, Los Angeles campus. At the heart of the neighborhood is the Hotel Bel-Air and the Bel-Air Country Club.

The Bel Air community was founded by Alphonzo Bell in 1923. Bell owned property in Santa Fe Springs and the large range is on what is now called Bell Air Road. Bell subdivided, and developed his property with larger residential lots, and he also built the Bel Air Country Club and the Santa Monica Bel Air Beach Club. 

Today, in addition to Brentwood and Beverly Hills, Bel Air is part of the Westside high price area called the “three Bs.” There have been a number of films and television shows filmed in the area or set in the community. There is also an annual international Bel Air Film Festival that has been a local feature since 2008.
